In Incheon's old town, two Goblin filming locations close on Mondays

In Incheon's old town between Incheon Station and Dongincheon Station, hizine has collected 8 drama filming locations within walking distance. Four are filming locations for "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God". This guide follows a walking route from Incheon Station to Dongincheon Station. Hours and fares were checked on the Incheon Tour, Incheon Art Platform and Incheon Transit Corporation websites on September 22, 2026.

From Incheon Art Platform, walk through Chinatown and over the hill at Jayu Park, then down to Gaehang-ro. Continue through Baedari Second-hand Bookshop Street and take Line 1 again at Dongincheon Station. Incheon Jungang Market, a filming location for "Mousetrap", is right beside the south side of Dongincheon Station.

The eight photos came from Wikimedia Commons. Of the two Incheon Art Platform photos taken by 이강철 in autumn 2019, the central walkway photo is licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0 and the southeast entrance photo under CC BY-SA 4.0. Mobius6 took all six photos of Chinatown, Jayu Park and Jemulpo Club on April 30, 2023, and released them under CC BY-SA 4.0. Photos of Hanmi Bookstore and the businesses on Gaehang-ro are not included because we could not find suitable openly licensed photos.

Easy to miss

  • Travel articles and maps written before July list the same shops in Jung-gu, while current guides list them in Jemulpo-gu. Incheon kept the national basic zone numbers used as postal codes for Jemulpo-gu unchanged.
  • Photography is not allowed inside Hanmi Bookstore (9 Geumgok-ro). This second-hand bookshop opened in 1955, and its yellow exterior appears in episode 6 of "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God". hizine says a photo taken directly facing the shop from across the alley most closely matches the shot in the drama. If you buy a book, you get a "Hanmi Bookstore since 1955" stamp. Opening hours are 10:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and 12:00 to 18:00 on weekends, but they may change. The shop closes on the second and fourth Fridays, Lunar New Year's Day and Chuseok, and the day after each holiday.
  • Baedari Match Village Museum (19 Geumgok-ro), a little over 100m from Hanmi Bookstore, also closes on Mondays. It is open from 09:00 to 18:00, and admission is free. It also closes on January 1, Lunar New Year's Day and Chuseok.
  • Brown Hands Gaehang-ro (73-1 Gaehang-ro) and Gaehang-ro Tongdak (164 Chamoejeon-ro) are still in business in the Gaehang-ro area. Brown Hands occupies the yellow brick building that appeared as the company exterior and offices in "Typhoon Family". It now operates as a cafe in a converted ear, nose and throat clinic from the 1960s. Gaehang-ro Tongdak is the restaurant where a scene in "Undercover Miss Hong" was filmed, with securities firm colleagues sharing whole fried chicken and beer after work. Both are businesses where you order and sit down, rather than places to view filming props. We have not yet confirmed their opening hours through official channels.

You can skip this if

  • Wolmi Culture Street, where the seaside fight scene in "Study Group" was filmed, is away from this route. From April to October, the Wolmi Sea Train runs from 10:00 to 19:00 on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays). On weekdays (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), and from November to March, it runs from 10:00 to 18:00. It closes every Monday. If Monday is a public holiday, it runs that day and closes on the next day that is not a public holiday. Adult fares are 11,000 won on weekdays and 14,000 won on weekends. You can reboard once on the same day.
  • Incheon Art Platform recommends public transport rather than driving because its parking lot is small.
